Day 13 October 25
We have quantitative and qualitative research methods, we have epistemologies in which they fit. This gives intellectuals and scientists enough material for controversies.
This is nice and happens at universities.
Today I had another man-that-I-name-after-the-place-where-I-regularly-meet-him experience. While the last encounter with the man in the park was just passing him at night (It took all my courage after I had heard him screaming aggressively two days ago, also in the dark) I met the Taubenmarkt Man today. He sold me a ticket for the tram.
I was not sure if it was wise to trust him. So I bought his ticket for charity and another one, two stops later, for safety. Although I am sure that it I was not allowed to use another person’s 24h ticket this episode sure made me wonder. Who do I trust more: The Bauernbergpark Man, the Taubenmarkt Man, a businessman, a financial banker (ha) or Karl Popper?
(Bauernbergpark = Farmer hill park; Taubenmarkt = pigeon market; both are just place names in Linz, Austria)
Finally I made it to the university without any control, two valid tickets, and the feeling that something is indeed rotten in the state of Denmark.
